Poem- A teacher's role

Writer's picture: theteenbookchronictheteenbookchronic

Like doctors, they help us live our life

And no amount of thanks would suffice

Like architects, they help us build the walls of career

For with them by our sides we won't fear

Like soldiers, they protect us from storms

They fight hurricanes just to keep us warm

Like wizards, they make time bend

So that to our dreams, there will be no end

Like a mother, they love and care

Yet without them, at life I wouldn't dare

When we are at err, they are the ones who correct

And they'll help us till we're nothing less than perfect

I appreciate the endless hours they spend

And the amount of help they lend

I know that under their watch, I won't fall

And that they'll help me stand tall

But I'll never know what we did to deserve this love

For these people aren't doctors who protect us with might

or soldiers that fight

They aren't architects who build

or wizards who form a guild

No, these people are the teachers who have about them a prestigious air

and they are the ones who truly care
