Rukmini: Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a phenomenal day. This is Rukmini, your 12-year-old blogger from The Teen Book Chronicle here for part 1 of our new series- Project Book Worm 27, where we interview readers and authors about books and find out more about the 27 percent of the world.

Today I am here with Surya, a dear friend of mine who happens to be an efficient reader. Hey Surya! How are you doing today?

Surya: I'm good, Rukmini.

Rukmini: Great! So my first question for you is what genre do you like reading the most?

Surya: So, I mostly prefer Fiction and some of my favorite fiction books are Percy Jackson, The Magic Tree House books and The Karate Mouse Geronimo Stilton.

Rukmini: That's amazing. So, my next question for you is how do you deal with reading blocks? Like sometimes you just stop reading for awhile and then just randomly get back one day so how do you deal with this?

Surya: Actually, I don't get bored of reading and I just love it and I have never actually stopped for a long period of time.

Rukmini: Really? That's amazing. I think most readers like me, have experienced this problem but it's surprising that you haven't. And when did you start reading?

Surya: I think I was almost 5 when I learnt how to read

Rukmini: Stunning! And do you know your first read?

Surya: No, I don't. No.

Rukmini: Okay, that's fine. My next question is what in your opinion makes a good book?

Surya: I think that a book with good moral values and really just something that gives you good morals is a good book.

Rukmini: Uh huh...and can you name a book that you have read with good values?

Surya: Umm... Panchatantra stories is a good example.

Rukmini: And how often do you read?

Surya: I normally read once every three days and this is usually before I go to sleep.

Rukmini: And do you Re-read books like do you read the same book more than once?

Surya: Yes, I do. I've re-read this one book from The Magic Tree House.

Rukmini: Nice and do you prefer E-books or paper?

Surya: I'd say that I prefer paper books because it's really just a better feeling to read and hold a paper book.

Rukmini: Totally. And do you read on vacation?

Surya: I do take books on vacation although I don't get a lot of time to read them.

Rukmini: And when was the last time you took a book on vacation?

Surya: My latest vacation was last summer in Ooty.

Rukmini: That's amazing! And for our last question, does the cover or the title of the book matter when you buy it? For me, I usually pick out books based on their titles so how is that process for you?

Surya: I don't judge a book by it's cover you know, like the saying, but I usually just open the book or read the gist of the story.

Rukmini: Right, but I find that that saying works for everything except books.

Surya: Yea but for me it's mostly the main point of the story.

Rukmini: Of course. So with that we conclude our interview, thank you so much for this interview, Surya. You did amazing. And thank you everyone who is reading this, I'll see you on our next post. Bye for now!
